Chad Hall is a speaker, writer and coach. He's also a husband, dad, friend, neighbor and a big fan of Jesus. After over a decade serving as a denominational coach and consultant, he joined business intelligence leader SAS Institute, Inc. in 2007 as a Global Training and Development Consultant. In his role at SAS, Chad trains managers and coaches executives within the company. Chad also serves the church community through his work with The Columbia Partnership. His focus is primarily in the dual areas of leadership and innovation. He invests special attention on the shift from the modern to postmodern era and how this shift impacts organizations, leadership, and ministry. Chad has a unique ability to connect the dots, spot the themes, and point out the not-so-obvious to the benefit of those who are engaged in ministry. He comes alongside leaders and churches to help them be their very best. He does this via three ministry functions: coaching, writing, and speaking. Chad earned graduate degrees in theology and church history from Duke and Princeton Seminary. He is also a graduate of The Coach Training Institute of San Rafael, CA. Chad has written extensively on topics of leadership, cultural shifts, organizational change, theology and church history. His articles, interviews and quotations have appeared widely in the media, including: The Leadership Journal, Christianity Today, Next-Wave, Fast Company and a number of scholarly journals. His first book, Coaching for Christian Leaders (2007, Chalice Press) is co-authored with Linda Miller of the Ken Blanchard Companies and explores how coaching can serve as the premiere ministry skillset for excellent leaders. Chad also teaches coaching at Western Seminary in Portland, OR. Chad lives in the RTP area of NC with his wife Holly and their three young children: Sydney, Davis, and Dean. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing in his backyard hammock, listening to smooth jazz on KPLU, cheering on the UNC Tarheels, smoking mild cigars, and sharing life with his friends and neighbors.
